Great news!
Another South Florida full day GEEK FEST, the 8th South Florida Code Camp, is around the corner. This is the first time our group is participating to this great event. Please join us at the "Large Scale Machine Learning using NVIDIA CUDA" presentation in the HacaRoom.
It is also a great opportunity for you to join one of the other 80+ presentations (listed here) between 7:30am and 5:45pm. More information about Code Camp can be found at http://www.fladotnet.com/codecamp/.
Registration:
No RSVP required on our site; please register at https://www.clicktoattend.com/invitation.aspx?code=156989.
Our presentation is at 8:30 am, right after the keynote.
Raffle:
Thanks to NVIDIA, we will be giving out GPU books and NVIDIA bags.
About the Presentation:
Running Machine Learning Algorithms on Massively Parallel GPUs
From spam filters to movie recommendation and face detection, nowadays machine learning algorithms are used everywhere to make the machine think for us. But, running these algorithms require high computation power and in most cases supercomputers. This is where the 500 core GPUs step in: GPUs have evolved to the point where real-world applications can be developed quickly and run orders of magnitude faster on hardware you can afford at home. In this session I will show you how you can use NVIDIA CUDA C to implement a GPU enabled linear regression algorithm as the backend for a C# application.
